Today, London quartet Tooth announce their debut EP, Restless in Bloom, ahead of a 12 June release via tastemaker imprint Soil To The Sun Recordings (Cliffords, Hex Girlfriend). News of the EP is accompanied by the release of its title track, ‘Restless in Bloom’, which fuses dangling, Midwestern emo-tinged guitars to vocalist Tom Pollock’s bittersweet untangling of teenage romance and a universal uncertainty of what the future may hold.
“The name ‘Restless in Bloom’ came from a poetry zine put together by Ben’s girlfriend,” explains Pollock. “She explained the meaning behind the name, saying how our youth was growing into something else, blossoming into something beyond what we knew. We would fill our time fidgeting with the freedom around us, restless in apprehension of whatever’s coming once youth fades. The lyrics reflect this idea, using the backdrop of two people sleeping together, both quickly growing out of each other and realising their existence has more potential beyond the confines of adolescence.”
‘Restless in Bloom’ is joined on the EP by Tooth’s pair of early breakout singles ‘The Age of Innocence’ and ‘Medicine’. Following a busy start to 2026 that’s seen the band play sold-out headline London shows at The Windmill and The Lexington, opening for Dust and Keo on UK tour dates and appearing at festivals including The So Young Weekender in Southampton and Borderline Festival in Dublin, Tooth continue to hit the road throughout this year. Today, they announce a headline run across the UK, alongside previously revealed festival appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival, The Great Escape, Gold Sounds, 2000 Trees, Dot To Dot and Neighbourhood, and opening for their heroes Sunny Day Real Estate, on their London and Manchester dates this July.
Over the past few years, the quartet – comprised of Pollock (guitar, vocals), Ben Ashley (guitar), Charlie Arnison (bass) and Roy Lowe (drums) – have meticulously honed their craft, becoming one of the most talked-about new bands in the country for their riotous live shows which fuse anthemic US alternative, second-wave emo and garage rock. Their burgeoning presence on the London circuit has quickly led to the group being picked up by Raw Power Management (Heartworms, Bring Me The Horizon) and signing to Soil To The Sun.
The EP was recorded at Church Studios in Crouch End by producer Kev Jones (Wunderhorse), mixed by Vince Ratti (Turnover, Scowl) and mastered by Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight), and perfectly recreates the immediacy and ambition of Tooth’s lauded live show, where timeless songwriting meets the bristling turbulence of youth.
