‘Xanthan Gum’ is the first release from Bournemouth/South London cult three piece The Vouchers since their 2025 EP Minibreak. The standalone single sees the band exploring themes of AI, nostalgia overload and post-internet futureshock.
The Vouchers, founded in 2017 and fronted by North East native Mark Langston, combine the lyrical traditions of English vernacular, weaving tales of frustration, humour and a yearning for meaning in a society that’s lost its way. Tom Meneight and Phil O’Keeffe bring a musicality that is both muscular and subtlety nuanced, recalling the attitude of 70’s pub rock and haunted jangle of 80’s Post Punk.
