Glasgow newcomers Tanzana sign to SO Recordings (Enter Shikari, Deadletter, Big Special) and Hideous Mink Records (Alien Chicks, Opus Kink, Y), and release debut single ‘Covet’. Newly-signed to the esteemed indie label partners, Tanzana’s trip-hop influenced alternative rock has already earned countless admirers within the vibrant Scottish scene, leading to a date alongside Lucia & The Best Boys, and the band themselves hosting their very own club night at King Tut’s last summer
Fresh from a UK live run supporting Cliffords earlier this month and three shows at Left Of The Dial, the emerging quintet are primed to play London venue The George Tavern on 13 November as part of The Great Escape’s ‘First Fifty’ showcase series.
Speaking ahead of their first release, the group explained:
“Lyrically ‘Covet’ represents feelings of obsession and longing for something that’s out of reach and musically we were inspired by nature and the destruction of it’”.
