London-based fem-punk artist SEY.MOUR., alongside fiery support band The Misses, have released their new single, ‘Out of Sight Out of Mind’. The song is a brave and ironically aggressive response to the lack of safety women face in the UK today. ‘Out of Sight Out of Mind’ was written as an expression of frustration and anger, channelled through mangled ferocity and catharsis. Opening with sinister guitar feedback before exploding into dark and rhythmic guitars, the track immediately establishes its aggressive and combative tone. SEY.MOUR.’s lyrics open the first verse with scathing truths, delivered in a staccato, hard-hitting style that allows the important message to cut through the ambient noise. The arrangement surges with pure passion and visceral outrage before reaching an ambient, angelic bridge. Here, SEY.MOUR.’s haunting vocals express the sadness behind the violence, as well as the fear and preparation women are forced to carry out in order to feel safe. As the innocence of the bridge disperses, the track erupts into an explosive, accusatory finale.
“Out of Sight Out of Mind” is a form of activism and pedagogical defiance, expressing uncomfortable truths about violence against women that people often avoid discussing. Writing and performing dark and atmospheric music since the age of 14, SEY.MOUR. is carving her own path through noise, chaos and resistance. Rooted in punk’s defiance and jazz’s unpredictability, her music is a bold collision of crunchy guitars, off-kilter melodies and sharp-edged lyricism. She sings, speaks and shouts feminist and political truths with unapologetic force, channeling the raw experience of being a young woman navigating a world that often feels rigged. Performing alongside three-piece punk band The Misses, SEY.MOUR. brings her sound to life with explosive energy and unfiltered emotion.
In a live music review, Songbird HQ described SEY.MOUR. and The Misses’ music as:
“full of that familiar punk anger, dashed with something much more unpredictable.”

Following an explosive set at a fundraiser for women in Afghanistan at The Shacklewell Arms, and a lively, interactive set at The Good Mixer, SEY.MOUR. and The Misses are set to take the stage once again on 24 October at The Victoria, Dalston to celebrate the new release.
