London’s headroom release their debut single ‘Take More (Than It Gives)’. Born out of the University of Westminster, headroom formed when frontman Jack shared an early demo in a university class attended by bassist Maisy and guitarist Timur. Drummer Angus soon joined, completing the line‑up and solidifying the band’s sound. The alternative rock band channel the likes of Foo Fighters and The Strokes and in the lead‑up to the release, the band have been honing their identity, writing new material and preparing for a run of upcoming gigs in the capital. The single tackles the destructive pull of gambling and through sharp storytelling and escalating references to different betting habits, the song builds towards its striking chorus refrain.
With more music on the horizon, headroom are gearing up for an exciting chapter and ‘Takes More (Than It Gives)’ marks only the beginning.
