Dublin based Post punk band Croíthe (Kreeha) today release their new single ‘The Lovers’. It follows ‘Soldier’ and both will feature on their forthcoming EP which was co-produced by David Noonan (Just Mustard) and mixed by Jack Roulston.  Only just completing their A levels in Ireland (Leaving Cert) Croíthe are already gaining praise from the likes of The Murder Capital and So Young Magazine.  Lead singer and lyricist Caodán Connolly shares the following on the new single:

“’The Lovers’ is a song about the line between love and hate for your hometown in our case, Dublin. It was written around the time of the general election last year and is a cry of frustration. There’s a harsh reality in the lack of opportunity for artists in Ireland, which can be disheartening, especially when the people who run the place have a profit over culture mentality. I wanted to capture the idea of using art and love as an escape from that reality, this romanticised pocket life that, in a way, acts as a shield from it.”
