At Left of the Dial festival in Rotterdam I grabbed the opportunity to learn a little more about some of the bands I saw for the first time.
Let’s just say you will never forget a Wax Head gig! The most ferocious moshpits in the small room in Perron and on V11 aka the Red Boat. The Manchester 4-piece seemed to only need to play one note and the mosh began. It was a sight to see, especially as the drummer crowd-surfed on both occasions. The energy was electrifying, their punk psyche feral chaos was still tight as well as frantic.

A deafening psychedelic sensory assault
Had you played outside your home country before Left of the Dial?
Only the day before in Eindhoven with The Wytches. Being asked to play Left of the Dial helped us play our first European tour around the dates of the festival.
Please describe your Left of the Dial experience.
We had a great time at our 4 shows at LOTD, it was relentless and the crowds were up for it every night- each venue was packed. We had been told by other bands how good the festival was but the reality was even better. We hope to be back in Rotterdam soon.

What has been the most bizarre source of inspiration for your creativity?
Lyrically, Lewis takes a lot of inspiration from Fromsoftware Games and the original God of War for the PS2.
What is the last music you listened to?
Lately Harry has been binging a lot of Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention while Lewis has been listening to Tool – specifically Fear Inoculum.
