Belfast post-punk/electronic specialists CHALK return with ferocious new offering ‘Get Fucked’ out today via ALTER Music. Teaming with esteemed Irish producer Kettama, the band revealed:

“We met Kettama (Evan) last year at our London show at Village Underground and ended up being big fans of each other’s work. ‘Get Fucked’ was going to be on our album but we didn’t work it out in time and so it sat for a while until we worked on it with Evan who gave it a new lease of life from the demo to the track.”

Marking their first slice of new material since the release of critically acclaimed debut LP Crystalpunk (#1 in UK Dance Album Chart) – which featured in The Guardian and NME’s “Top Albums of 2026 So Far” and saw them named in Rolling Stone UK’s “Future Of Music 2026”, ‘Get Fucked’ precedes their biggest London headliner yet at Camden’s iconic Electric Ballroom on 24 July, before a debut appearance at Lollapalooza, Chicago and hometown support slot with IDLES.

Built on the musical history that shaped them: the punk scene of the ‘70s and ‘80s, and the rave culture of the ‘90s through to today, these subcultures undoubtedly influenced CHALK’s first full-length effort and resonated far and wide upon its arrival earlier this year. A collision of punk and electronic music, Crystalpunk‘’s identity was established through punk gigs and on dancefloors; the cultural and political choices made in these rooms established the foundations for the duo’s generation to escape the bombs, bullets, and binaries of the past.

Partnering with New York City headquartered label ALTER Music for their debut record and spearheaded by award-winning musicians and filmmaker duo Ross Cullen and Benedict Goddard, CHALK have certainly experienced a meteoric rise in recent times. Ticking off several sold-out UK and European headline tour dates, the band have also made debut appearances at the likes of Glastonbury and Bilbao BBK and supported peers in Fontaines D.C. and Sprints. The band’s growing and rabid fanbase is accelerating at an enormous rate, ahead of what promises to be a significantly busy second half of 2026.
