Glasgow’s heavyskint unveil their brooding third single ‘He Says, She Says’. Their most expansive effort yet, ‘He Says, She Says’ expands on both the controlled chaos and brooding nature of previous singles ‘When Are You Coming For Me Jesus?’ and ‘Vice’. Inspired by the seedy tales of true crime and found-footage horror, the track exudes a sleaze that is hard to ignore. It is another clear statement of intent from a band that show no signs of slowing down. ‘He Says, She Says’ is the sound of a band that finds its musical strength in dark places.

Speaking about the track, frontman Jacob Hunter says:
“The lyrics were written after losing myself down a rabbit hole of serial killer stories and snuff films one night. It’s strange how we find evil so fascinating. The song draws upon that”.

Guitarist Jamie Kelly says:
“I think it’s our most mature and well-rounded release yet. The music reflects the unsettling imagery of the lyrics without making things too obvious or overbearing. There is a real menace there that could easily have got lost with a more abrasive backing“.

Since forming in 2024, heavyskint have wasted no time in establishing themselves as ones to watch. Initially a bedroom side project, the current line-up came together in early 2025 and have sold out every show they have played to date including turns at iconic venues like King Tuts and QMU. Fronted by the enigmatic Jacob Hunter, the raw, unpredictable nature of such performances have gained the band a growing following across Glasgow.

heavyskint’s sound draws upon the modern influences of Fontaines D.C. and Wunderhorse while possessing the brooding, spacious vintage of Pink Floyd and the confrontational edge of late 90s rock. Moody atmosphere, big choruses, noisy guitars, and high intensity.
